If an item is illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, stolen, or not supported by our payment/shipping providers, do not list it.
Not allowed
- Illegal goods, stolen property, counterfeit goods or items that infringe intellectual-property rights.
- Firearms, ammunition, firearm parts, explosives, weapon accessories and weapons during the private beta, including combat/tactical knives marketed as weapons.
- Controlled substances, recreational drugs, drug paraphernalia, prescription-only medication, tobacco, nicotine and alcohol.
- Hazardous chemicals, poisons, recalled products or goods that cannot lawfully be shipped.
- Adult sexual content or products, human remains, live animals, or protected wildlife products.
- Government IDs, financial accounts, stolen credentials, personal data or access to accounts/services.
- Anything used to facilitate fraud, violence, surveillance abuse or other unlawful conduct.
Ordinary tools and collectibles
Ordinary household tools, kitchen cutlery and lawful collectibles may be reviewed case by case. An item can still be removed if its design, marketing, local law, carrier rules or payment-provider rules make it unsuitable for the marketplace.
Enforcement
Trail of Trades may block, remove or review listings and suspend accounts. Users can report questionable listings from the item page.
These beta policies are operational rules for Trail of Trades and are not a substitute for individualized legal or tax advice. They will be reviewed again before public launch and before real-money transactions are enabled.
